Creative Therapy Adelaide works with a small number of selected registered Support at Home providers.
We provide Music Therapy and Speech Pathology when the service has been approved for the participant and the registered provider has confirmed the service arrangements.
Every outreach price includes a 60-minute direct therapy session, associated case notes and the applicable return travel allowance.
Every referral begins with three initial appointments, followed by an assessment review and an individual written Therapy Plan.

Music Therapy
Music Therapy uses purposeful musical experiences within an evidence-based therapeutic relationship.
A Registered Music Therapist may use familiar music, singing, rhythm, movement, songwriting and instrument playing to support goals related to communication, cognition, emotional wellbeing, movement, connection and participation.

Speech Pathology supports older adults with communication that affects everyday participation.
Sessions may focus on understanding and expressing information, word finding, conversation, communication confidence and practical strategies for the participant and the people around them.

From referral to an individual Therapy Plan
Every referral begins with provider approval and three initial appointments.
Referral and provider approval
The registered provider, participant or family can begin by contacting Creative Therapy Adelaide. Before appointments commence, we confirm the requested discipline, participant needs, applicable travel option and registered provider approval.
Three initial appointments
The therapist completes three initial appointments to understand the participant’s strengths, needs, goals and preferred ways of working. Each appointment includes 60 minutes of direct therapy and associated case notes.
Assessment review and Therapy Plan
After the third appointment, the therapist reviews the assessment information and prepares an individual written Therapy Plan. This is completed as separate non-face-to-face work and charged at the applicable discipline rate.
Direct therapy, case notes and travel in one price
Rates are calculated from Creative Therapy Adelaide’s Torrensville clinic.
Every outreach option includes 60 minutes of direct therapy, associated case notes and the stated total return travel allowance.
Travel is included in the published service price and is not charged separately.

An individual plan for ongoing support
Following the three initial appointments, the therapist completes an assessment review and prepares a written Therapy Plan.
The Therapy Plan documents the participant’s goals, recommended therapeutic approach and proposed next steps.
This work is completed separately from the direct therapy appointments.
The applicable outreach price is confirmed with the registered Support at Home provider before appointments commence.

Creative Therapy Adelaide provides individual Music Therapy and Speech Pathology outreach services for participants whose services have been approved by their registered Support at Home provider.
Who can make an enquiry?
An enquiry can be made by a Support at Home provider, participant, family member or care partner. The registered Support at Home provider must approve the service and pricing before appointments commence.
What is included in the outreach price?
Every outreach price includes 60 minutes of direct therapy, associated case notes and the stated total return travel allowance.
Is travel charged separately?
No. Travel is built into the published outreach price and is not charged separately. The price is based on the total return travel time from our Torrensville clinic.
What happens before ongoing therapy begins?
The participant begins with three initial appointments. The therapist then completes an assessment review and prepares a written Therapy Plan with goals, recommendations and proposed next steps.
How is the travel allowance calculated?
Travel is calculated from Creative Therapy Adelaide’s Torrensville clinic. The available options include 30, 45 or 60 minutes of total return travel.
Can Support at Home participants access group services?
Support at Home providers can enquire about group options. Music Connect may be suitable depending on the participant’s needs, provider approval, location and current availability.
