Therapy Services

This strengths-based, communication focused music therapy small group program is for up to 4 children 2.5 to 4 years of age and their caregivers.

It is suitable for children with a language delay, speech disorder, global developmental delay or a  condition that means they require support to reach their developmental milestones, especially in the area of communication.

The group provides opportunities to focus on the skills that form the basis of receptive and expressive language development, including attention, listening, turn-taking, self-
expression, auditory processing and sensory integration through music and movement.

The small group structure allows the Music Therapist to support children and parents with targeted activities, so they can develop and grow in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The music and movement activities support social interaction and language development.
Parents attend with their child and are provided with strategies and ideas to try at home.

duration session drama group

Children learn through play and participating in experiences which engage their senses. Children love to
connect with their parents and caregivers while having fun with music and movement.

The group follows a similar structure each week to enhance learning. Sessions are interactive and participatory, including familiar songs, instrument playing and movement activities to support the development of language skills including listening, joint attention, turn-taking, and self-expression.

If you are an NDIS participant, this group comes under the Core Supports category – ‘social and community participation’. We suggest you speak to your Plan Manager or the NDIA to determine if this group meets your relevant plan goals and if/how you can pay for this group with your NDIS funding.

This is a supportive group which works to support your child’s individual needs and strengths. We understand that everyone learns at their own pace.

Up to 4 children and their caregivers.

Siblings may be allowed to attend sessions if parents have no other option and it is not a disruption to the development and learning of the children requiring therapy. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The group program is an min. 8-week commitment.
