Rock School is a fun music-learning program for preschoolers aimed at supporting their school readiness. We use live music as well as movement and sensory activities to help children to develop their motor, communication and social skills, while also having a whole lot of fun along the way!
Singing, dancing and instrument play also provides a wonderful opportunity for early literacy and numeracy learning, in addition to building confidence and independence. By attending with your child, you will learn how music can support the development of self-regulation skills, which are so important as they make the exciting transition to school.
What happens if I miss a session?
We allow participants who miss a class to make up that class, dependent upon availability. Please contact us before the session you will miss and we will let you know if there is space in another group for you to attend a make up session. Online sessions will be avaiable at times to make up for missed sessions. Get in contact to find out more
Here are 3 easy steps to join our music groups:
- Choose your group program by selecting the appropriate group for your child’s age;
- Book a casual session to see if your child(ren) enjoys and benefits from the music groups;
- After your first session, decide whether you’d like to enrol for the rest of the term, or continue booking in on a casual basis.
- To book in for the term, speak to your friendly facilitator or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our music groups are facilitated by professional educators, music therapists or allied health assistants who are also musicians and accompany themselves on guitar.
Each session runs approximately 45 minutes.
Music is a language we all speak. Giving children the time and space to explore music with you and express themselves through song is an invaluable way for them to learn social skills and communication. Throw movement and instrument play into the mix and it’s a total brain massage for their developing minds!

If you are an NDIS participant, this group comes under the Core Supports category – ‘social and community participation’. We suggest you speak to your Plan Manager or the NDIA to determine if this group meets your relevant plan goals and if/how you can pay for this group with your NDIS funding. We do not invoice for these groups and it is the participant’s responsibility to make an upfront payment for the term and be reimbursed by their plan manager / the NDIA (if relevant).

Our music sessions are a fun and relaxed place to be and we understand that you want to capture your child in action, however, we aim to create a child-safe environment and respect the privacy of children and their families. Photography or video recordings are not permitted in the sessions, if you’d like to take photos of your child, this can be done at the beginning or the end of the session and photographs should be limited to just your child or family members.
