Dance-Movement Group - Steady Steppers
This group is for children aged between 8 and 12. It aims to enhance their imagination, expand movement repertoire and learn to move with the group. Children will learn to respect and regard other children’s movements and shared thoughts. Children may learn different qualities of movement (e.g. fast, controlled, gentle and strong movement) to channel their emotions.
Negotiate and collaborate
This program is a fun and creative space for children. Sessions are structured and it works towards creating a dance movement production. Children will be therapeutically supported during the program.
If you are an NDIS participant, this group comes under ‘capacity building’. We suggest you speak to your Plan Manager or the NDIA to determine if this group meets your relevant plan goals and if/how you can pay for this group with your NDIS funding.
Our expert facilitator can support you to participate. If necessary, a parent or caregiver may remain as a support person for the duration of the group or as long as necessary.
